Lime Crime

I'm going to take a minute to post about makeup! After all, this is my blog and I do what I want :) My vision of this blog is it being a place for me to post whatever I feel necessary... and this is quite necessary. This post is about Lime Crime makeup. They're a brand that really means quite a bit to me. They make the most beautiful cosmetics. Strange and unique colors, finishes, and textures. They are most well known for their lipsticks. Glossy and ultra-pigmented, opaque, and free of aging shimmer. In February they started releasing eyeshadow palettes. I bought the Palette D'Antoinette, and I absolutely adore it. Their pastel shades are not in the least bit chalky. They are silky and smooth, and over LC's Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Primer, they really just pop. They are the strangest pastels, as they have neon notes. They apply like a dream and the high pigment content makes it easy to use them sparingly. Oh yeah, and all of their products (except the primer, which contains beeswax) are VEGAN! Yay! Well here are some visual aides, you'll see what I mean about how awesome they are!!
A guide to what will work well with your skin tone!

The newest palette, mermaid theme!

This is the one I have. Stunning!

The China Doll palette. Very bold colors.

And the nail polish. More pastels, woo!

They also carry sparkly lip glosses, new liquid eyeliners, and will soon start carrying "face" products, though they are being very secretive about those! :)

Rainbow Honey's "The Worst Possible Thing"

This is my favorite nail polish. I have around 200, and this is my favorite of them all. It's the daintiest thing, blues and purples and sparkles. But when you put it over black and you get this super edgy, super blingy look. Over black, it's almost like instant galaxy nails. It's really quite mesmerizing, I could spend a good hour or two staring at my nails. For this mani/swatching, I've also included it over a light purple to showcase how different this polish can look. Here you go folks, Rainbow Honey's "The Worst Possible Thing", which is based on Rarity of My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. Any Bronies out there? No? Okay.

For this look I used Wet n Wild "Black Creme", NYC "271 Extra Shiny Topcoat", Seche "Retain" (basecoat), Rainbow Honey "The Worst Possible Thing", and Revlon "211 Charming".
Look daisies. :)

Elevation Polish "Avalanche"

So the first swatches of Indie Intro Week and also my blogging career are of Elevation Polish's "Avalanche" Described on their website as "10 different types of holographic glitter. Big and small blended together. large diamond, large hex, medium hex, small hex, holographic microglitters." So pretty much, super holographia! I love all things holographic and if it just so happens to be glitter in nail polish, then so be it. Here is a bottle shop from their site.
Gorgeous, right? Right. Here are my swatches, they are over Zoya Wednesday of the Beach Collection. Accent nail base color is Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac. These are 2 coats of Avalanche. Don't mind my ugly cuticles and chipped color. This was just me messing around! :) Also, I wasn't able to fully capture the holographicness of this polish but let me assure you, it is blinding.
Ooo, artsy.

Daisy patches have popped up in the lawn, I love them!

And finally, we have a macro of my thumb nail,
So holographic!

This concludes my first swatching. Thanks for reading!
