Battle of the Mint To Be's

Check this out! Just realized I have 2 polishes named "Mint To Be"! How cool! :) Similar, but different enough to have both.

When I got the first one, I immediately thought of this awesome lipstick by Lime Crime:
It's also called Mint To Be. :)

Mint is a very popular color this summer, and I have a feeling it might stick around for a while. It's nice and light and pretty. So on the the comparison!

Here is Mint To Be by Serum No5.

MTB by SN5 is glitter packed and will need a few coats of top coat to be glossy. You'll only need 2 coats for full opacity. This is a very easy polish to apply and wear. :)

And here is Mint To Be by Seventh Day Soap Co.

MTB by SDSC is sheer, this is 4 coats total. No topcoat is needed but its shown here with one. Application was perfect, love the bits of holo glitter in there, they really make this polish something special. :)

MTB by SDSC is sheerer, bluer, and it's got holo glitter in it, while MTB by SN5 is greener, more opaque and creamy, and it has silver glitter in it. Compare!

Shot Of Glitter's Rarity

Today we have Shot Of Glitter's pretty pony polish, Rarity. Based on this pony from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
Th polish is made up of a white creme base, silver glitter, purple mid-size hexes, white bars, and teal diamonds just like in her cutie mark. A beautiful pony, and a beautiful polish. Here I have 2 coats of Wet n Wild's On A Trip, and 2 coats of Shot Of Glitter's Rarity. What do you think?
In addition to taking up all of my free blogging time, my new job has destroyed my nails and cuticles, so be warned.

Lucky 13 Wrap-up and Giveaway!

This week I've been featuring a series of 4 polishes from Lucky 13 Lacquer. The collection is inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.

First we had Bone Daddy. A black and white glitter inspired by Jack's pinstriped suit.

Then there was Zero. Various sizes of white hexes and squares as well as red squares. Inspired by Jack's dog Zero.

Then there was my personal favorite, Ragdoll. Lavender, teal, yellow, brown, and gunmetal glitters in a clear base, reminiscent of Sally's patchwork dress.

And last but not least is the most Halloween-y of them all, Pumpkin King. Black and orange hexes as well as matte orange hexes.

 And that's it!

Unless, of course, you like giveaways. Then stay tuned:

Kyoti Jess of Kyoti's Nails and Lucky 13 Lacquer is awesome. So awesome, in fact, that she wants to give one lucky follower 2 mini's of their choice from the collection! Woo! Use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter. US only!! Sorry internationals!

Lucky 13's Pumpkin King

Here's the last in a series of 4 polishes from Lucky 13 Lacquer. The collection is inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Today's polish is Pumpkin King. Let's see Lucky 13's description: "Matte hot orange bars, shiny orange hex, and matte black hex glitters. Inspired by the burning Pumpking King, ". Here's a cool pic I found online. :)
This polish is the perfect Halloween polish. Formula was great. You'll absolutely need topcoat, it's got so much glitter in it that it becomes a bit rough. Wanna see pics? Well okay. Here it is.
 2 coats, 3 coats, 1 coat
This pic makes me self-conscious about my palm size. :)

 Oh hey a sunset.

Lucky 13's Ragdoll

Here's the third in a series of 4 polishes from Lucky 13 Lacquer. The collection is inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Today's polish is Ragdoll. Inspired by Sally, this polish more than any of the others truly captures the character in a bottle. Described by Lucky 13 Lacquer as: "Medium turquoise, yellow, lavender, and shiny gunmetal hex along with ultra-fine brown square glitters, like Sally's dress," . Google produced me with terrible grainy photos  from the movie itself so here is a toy model of her. :)

And here is the polish! This will be great for next spring, it would probably look very cute over white! Ragdoll is my favorite of the collection! Awesome formula, amazing glitters, easy application, and most importantly, it looks just like Sally. Excuse the tip-wear! This mani was well-loved before photographing!

 2 coats, 2 coats, 1 coat.
