Rainbow Polish's Great Blue

Chunky glitter, you guys! The chunkiest! Rainbow Polish's Great Blue is made up of shades of blue, black, and silver holo.You've got hexes, stars, bars, and diamonds. The big hexes look like fish scales! My base is
Nicole by OPI's Respect The World, which was my first "high end" polish (aka cost more than a buck or two). It was like eight bucks, which was a lot, but I couldn't say no. This polish is about 5 years old. Great Blue's formula is fine, you will need to fish around a bit for the good stuff in there. ("Fish" around... Haha. Like fish scales. Moving on....) There's a bit of shrinkage going on in these pics, so ignore that. What do you think, could you see yourself embracing this loud glitter?

Shot Of Glitter's Rarity

Today we have Shot Of Glitter's pretty pony polish, Rarity. Based on this pony from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

Th polish is made up of a white creme base, silver glitter, purple mid-size hexes, white bars, and teal diamonds just like in her cutie mark. A beautiful pony, and a beautiful polish. Here I have 2 coats of Wet n Wild's On A Trip, and 2 coats of Shot Of Glitter's Rarity. What do you think?
In addition to taking up all of my free blogging time, my new job has destroyed my nails and cuticles, so be warned.

Lucky 13's Ragdoll

Here's the third in a series of 4 polishes from Lucky 13 Lacquer. The collection is inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Today's polish is Ragdoll. Inspired by Sally, this polish more than any of the others truly captures the character in a bottle. Described by Lucky 13 Lacquer as: "Medium turquoise, yellow, lavender, and shiny gunmetal hex along with ultra-fine brown square glitters, like Sally's dress," . Google produced me with terrible grainy photos  from the movie itself so here is a toy model of her. :)

And here is the polish! This will be great for next spring, it would probably look very cute over white! Ragdoll is my favorite of the collection! Awesome formula, amazing glitters, easy application, and most importantly, it looks just like Sally. Excuse the tip-wear! This mani was well-loved before photographing!

Feenix Polish's Beam Me Up!

Today we have another Indie, Feenix Polish's Beam Me Up! Beam Me Up is a Spectraflair topcoat that turns any polish into a linear holographic. The formula was smooth and easy. Dry time wasn't too bad but it took longer than the fast-dry formulas I'm so used to. When deciding what color to use as underwear I got to thinking "How come I never see pastels as base color under Spectraflairs?" It's because they suck. The rainbow effect is very subtle and dull. So here it is dulled over mint:

Barely any rainbows.

So then I tried it over a dark. That's when things got magical.

 

 All better! Yay magic!

Bayou Blitz and Floam

Today's post is on two indie polishes. I originally intended for the two polishes to be in two separate swatch posts, but then I didn't post on the 4th of July, and I got to looking at these two polishes. They're not actually that much different! They fit well with each other. I tried a mani using both but I was not in any mood for that this morning for some reason. So I tried a pedi. Yes my toes are awkward and stubby. But they're covered in Floam! And Blitz! With a basecoat of Sally Hansen Insta Dri "Mint Sprint". I'm Feeling Nail-venturous's famous Floam on my little toes, and Pretty & Polished's Bayou Blitz on my big toe. Check it out!

 Love the large neon hexes in Bayou Blitz. BB also glows under black-light!

And it came with a nice little business card! How cute.

Elevation Polish "Avalanche"

So the first swatches of Indie Intro Week and also my blogging career are of Elevation Polish's "Avalanche" Described on their website as "10 different types of holographic glitter. Big and small blended together. large diamond, large hex, medium hex, small hex, holographic microglitters." So pretty much, super holographia! I love all things holographic and if it just so happens to be glitter in nail polish, then so be it. Here is a bottle shop from their site.

Gorgeous, right? Right. Here are my swatches, they are over Zoya Wednesday of the Beach Collection. Accent nail base color is Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac. These are 2 coats of Avalanche. Don't mind my ugly cuticles and chipped color. This was just me messing around! :) Also, I wasn't able to fully capture the holographicness of this polish but let me assure you, it is blinding.

Ooo, artsy.

Daisy patches have popped up in the lawn, I love them!

And finally, we have a macro of my thumb nail,
