Lime Crime's Parfait Day

Another in my series of Lime Crime polish reviews. Here is Parfait Day. Personally I'd like the name more if it was "Parfait-a-Day". Haha. Doesn't that sound like the way to live? Parfait Day is a lovely, perfect pastel bubblegum pink. I can already tell that this polish is going near the top of my "Top 10 favorite polishes of all time" list. It's seriously and honestly flawless. If you love pastels, if you love unicorns, if you love pink, if you love femininity, this is the polish for you. Here are the pics! Lightbox messed with the colors terribly, but I tried to edit to make them truer to life.

The cuticles weep. This is them after moisturizing. -shudders-

Also, I've been working on nail shape a little. Can you tell? I'm going for ovals.

Posing with my favorite perfume. Versace Bright Crystal.

Another win for Lime Crime, another flawless polish.

Lime Crime's Once In A Blue Mousse

So sorry for not posting much lately. Winter-like temperatures and manual labor at work are seriously ravishing my nails and cuticles. I break or tear at least one nail a day. That's kinda inconvenient when my blog revolves around taking pics of my hands. I've also been in a bit of an emotional dip, and I haven't felt like doing much. Plus the stress of having to do reviews makes it so i want to do them even less. I know that doesn't make sense logically, but if I'm supposed to something, I'm less likely to do it. I don't know why. I'm really stubborn, or some shit. But they will all get done eventually, even if it takes me 100 years. I have my blogger polishes lined up in order or my receiving them, so I will complete the reviews in the same order. I have contacted as many makers as I could to let the know the situation, and they were all very sweet and understanding. I'm not trying to make excuses, I'm just letting you all know that I've clearly slowed down my reviewing habits. And it really doesn't help that the sun doesn't come out anymore. So outdoor photos just look hum-drum. I built my lightbox and even found lamps that work for it. But of course it turns my photos all yellow now. Ugh. So while I work out my issues, there are sure to be some not-so-exquisite photographs. But hopefully you all can look past my ugly cuticles, my infrequent posting, and my terrible lighting and just appreciate the polish for what it is. Thanks in advance for your understanding! Without further ado, here is today's review.

It's Once In A Blue Mousse by Lime Crime. A perfect Tiffany blue with an amazing, nearly one-coat formula. Lime Crime is really acing the pastels here. I'd go as far as to say topcoat isn't needed for gloss, but I did use Seche Vite in these pics because I'm terribly impatient. Dry time on the polish was great but I'm far too lazy to wait even for that. Here are the pics!

 My cuticles are crying.
The perfect pretty blue. Thoughts?

The oh-so pretty shade and flawless, fast drying formula makes this polish a no-brainer A.

Lime Crime's Peaches And Cream

My favorite makeup company, Lime Crime, recently came out with their own line of nail polish. How could I say no?!? The ladies that run this brand are simply amazing. I like to think that kinda like me back, too! I have a poster of their in my room, a mini eyeshadow primer, a standard size eye primer, 5 of these new polishes, an eyeshadow palette, and 2 lipsticks! Everything I have from them rocks, so I didn't expect anything different from their polish. How right I was!! Here's my favorite of the five, Peaches <3 Cream. I'm not sure how you would say that out loud. Peaches Heart Cream? Peaches Love Cream? Peaches And Cream? I don't know. I don't care. All I care about it how flawless this polish is. A beautiful cantaloup/circus peanut shade.
The adorable packaging. I'm far too swayed by brilliant package design. Drippy white and lavender, green on the inside of the box. Foggy semi-matte frosted bottle with the signature unicorn logo on the bottle!

This color seriously brightens up my gloomy winter.
Stunning! What do you think?

Epic Fall Duo by Feenix Polish

How perfect is this duo for fall? It's Feenix Polish's Twigs, with Falling For You (also by Feenix) as a topper. There's a little bit extra at the tips for added interest. I know what you're thinking... "What tips?"... You guys are jerks. I'm really trying to grow them out! I swear! Gosh. :)

Twigs (base color) was a flawless polish, not too thin, not too thick. Easily buildable. I used 3 coats. Ring finger is 1 coat of China Glaze Agro as color comparison. One coat of Seche Vite. Twigs is lighter, more delicate, and has sparks of micro glitter, where Agro is just a shimmer. Had a bit of trouble with my lightbox an blurines. I trust you to get past that, however. Also, small cuticle injury on my middle finger. I hate winter dryness!

Twigs is way more sparkly and flattering.
Remember, ring finger is ChG Agro.
Love these tiny pumpkins. I'm keeping this one til it rots. :)
One of our giant Maple's. I should censor this naked tree!

And now on to Falling For You. Haha, how appropriate:

Glad I don't have to clean these all up myself!

This polish was a little on the thick side, but it helps to hold the glitter. I don't know where I'd be without Seche Vite, though. Probably still waiting for these to dry! I really globbed it on there thick. he perfect shades for fall! This is where the blurry lightbox syndrome come in. Ugh.

The yummy  duo. What do you think?

Serum No5's Spring Into Love

I'm blown away by how much I loved this polish. I tend to like bigger glitters, but this floored me. And it's got me questioning everything I believe. It's got pigment, and holo glitter (yay!). This polish is also making me realize how much I love Serum No5. They've got an awesome formula that dries in no time, and they're super nice! This polish is perfection. There was full coverage with 2 coats but I slapped a third on just cause. I didn't even need a base color. My middle finger had no base color at all and it doesn't look any different from the others. Here's proof:
3 coats, 3 coats, 1 coat.

Rainbow Polish's Great Blue

Chunky glitter, you guys! The chunkiest! Rainbow Polish's Great Blue is made up of shades of blue, black, and silver holo. You've got hexes, stars, bars, and diamonds. The big hexes look like fish scales! My base is
Nicole by OPI's Respect The World, which was my first "high end" polish (aka cost more than a buck or two). It was like eight bucks, which was a lot, but I couldn't say no. This polish is about 5 years old. Great Blue's formula is fine, you will need to fish around a bit for the good stuff in there. ("Fish" around... Haha. Like fish scales. Moving on....) There's a bit of shrinkage going on in these pics, so ignore that. What do you think, could you see yourself embracing this loud glitter?

 2 coats, 2 coats, 2 coats.

F4's Glamorous!

Let's be honest. This polish is beautiful, fun, and exciting, but it's not really glamorous. I don't envision glamorous people wearing chunky glitter for some reason. But that's not to say I don't like the polish! I really do! It's gorgeous. Dry time was average, blinding power was above average. Seriously, this polish + sunlight = jesus. Glamorous has all sorts of sizes and shapes of silver and silver holo glitter. I wore it over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Presto Pewter. I really enjoy using insta-dri's as base colors, the dry time is snappy and they're opaque enough so that I don't need many coats, which also cuts down on dry time. I'm very impatient with my polish. You're going to need a thick topcoat on this one, otherwise the chunky glitter may flake off. Here's the proof that this polish is cray cray:

1 coat, 2 coats, 2 coats, 1 coat.
